I understand the importance of meat residues… the answer is: no residues.

However, it is pretty expensive cattle feed and hardly nutritious. Bored cattle in a yard would definitely investigate a Colony Killer Termite Bait on top of a TermiTrap but you might consider covering it with a heavy plant pot, or, if you have a termite bait on a post, I’m thinking you’d need to wrap it in gaffer tape, which of course makes it harder, though not impossible to check on. (You could slice the tape open and re-tape).

I hope this helps

Thank you for your comments, Mark. I gave a lot of thought to making the checking and the baiting of the Traps as easy as possible and I’m glad you are both knowledgeable and enabled!

Your observations re the active then inactive tubes is commendable and probably right, however they don’t always vacate them. Using just tubes to get them to altitude means they are not eating the tiber (it may be timber they don’t like or maybe preserved). If they were eating the timber as well as going height then they would be eating all year round. Anyway, you’ve done it!!!

Best wishes Ion

I have a house surrounded by your traps and the thing I like most about them is that when I am out working in the garden or putting out the bin or whatever, I can keep tabs on them so easily for activity.
After paying Flick for over 10 years, I had enough knowledge to do it myself and your product was the enabler.
We had termites in the past in the house and they came about a month before swarm time to build flight tubes which would appear out of the gyprock walls which then poured out the reproductives around September. Then those tubes would be left empty until the following year.
They were difficult to bait as they weren’t really feeding, just building flight tubes.
After a couple of years trying we either killed the nest or they found somewhere better to fly from.
From memory they were coptos.
Cheers,
Mark

I have found termites in my cattle yards, can I use your bait on them , I am wondering if cattle came into contact with the bait, could they become contaminated.ie have some residue in the meat.
Regards Michael
